A project for gaming history begins!

The Nintendo Color TV Game 15 (1977), one of the classic consoles in the collection.

Welcome everyone! This website is the brand new home for news on the gaming museum project started by Andrew and Jacob! The main goal of this project is preserving the technological and cultural history of video games, as well as educating people about it for generations to come. Our intent is to eventually create an interactive museum where visitors can have fun learning about how the gaming industry has interacted with different cultures and evolved over time while seeing and playing several types of intriguing game systems that they may have never been exposed to otherwise. This description hardly scratches the surface of our full plans, though. For more information and insight about the project and its planning, visit the “About the Project” page. You can also find general information about people involved on that page.

Obviously, this will be a long endeavor requiring a lot of money, research, and dedicated people. However, with our determination we are certain that this project will fully take life within a couple of years and that there is a great possibility of having our goals accomplished. We currently have one main sponsor supporting our cause by helping us expand our collection of gaming systems and their games. Several consoles will be in our possession soon, including the Nintendo Color TV-Game 15 system (1977) pictured above. While the acquisition of classic consoles is a great start, we will need further sponsorship and support from the public to fulfill our dreams. If you would like to help support us by donating money or materials, check out the “Donations/Sales” page. You can also offer to sell us any gaming-related stuff that you might have. If you would like to become a sponsor, visit the “Become a Sponsor” page.

We also have forums for people who are interested in or support the project to interact with each other and stay actively involved. Fans of “romscout” and “UltraJMan” on YouTube are also welcome on the message board. Feel free to register there! You’ll enjoy it! If you have any questions about our project, the people involved, or the website, feel free to email us at electronicgamingmuseum@gmail.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We also have a YouTube channel, “egmuseum“, if you want to see videos created for this website.
